It started with a green house
Casa Verde started the way the best family things do: small, sincere, and almost by accident.

In 2002, it was just a small canteen under a student dormitory in Cebu City, there to feed the boarders and the students from the colleges nearby. The house was green, and the family carries Spanish roots, so the name almost wrote itself: Casa Verde, Spanish for “green house.”
Nobody planned what happened next. People fell in love with the ribs. One table told another, the way word travels in Cebu, and a little canteen meant only to feed boarders turned into a place people would cross the city for. Almost a decade and three branches later, it wasn’t really a canteen anymore. It was somewhere Cebu had quietly taken to heart.
The family never let go of it. Casa Verde is owned by seven siblings, and you can feel them in the food: so many of the dishes carry the names of their own children. Brian’s Ribs. Peter’s Pork Steak. Caryl’s Country Salad. Karlamari. Every plate is a small piece of one family, set down in front of yours.
The belief hasn’t changed in more than twenty years: everyone deserves generous, comforting food and a warm welcome at a price that still makes sense. No airs, no fuss. Just a big table, good food, and room to let your hair down and stay a while.
That has always been the whole idea. Come as you are, bring the people you love, and leave full. We’ll keep the table ready.
